The thing about courage is that it's hard to please.
It is relentless. Asking more of you in a second than most things request in a lifetime. You give it everything. And the next morning it asks, "more please." Like a never-ending shoreline where infinite waves and countless sands sit eagerly awaiting your reply...
"Will she do it?" they question. "What will her response be?"
But make no mistake-- courage is patient.
The thing about courage is that it's not always easy to see.
To outsiders, it is as confident and put together as a Versace suit. But when inside, seems as a teenage girl. Carefully examining every flaw in front of a full length mirror.
But courage doesn't look back.
The thing about courage is it's like a door with no handle.
Cause friend, once you are in-- you. are. in.
The fingers of courage will snatch you up tight. Where even the antsy child looking for the coin inside can't pry courage's fingers open.
Courage is loyal. Courage is wild. Courage protects.
The thing about courage is that it's just waiting.
The thing about courage is that it changes things.
The thing about courage... is all it needs is one, "yes."
